European Freeze Dry Ltd. has been freeze drying since 1964, and has grown to become a leading multi product freeze dryer and provider of bulk freeze drying services to industry.
Our UK plant in Preston, Lancashire has 4 industrial scale freeze dryers of differing sizes. In Denmark we operate two separate plants, located less than an hours drive west of Copenhagen, with a total of eight batch dryers. We have the benefit of being able to offer production at a very small scale (200kg chamber loads) for new developments requiring scale-up, through to a much larger scale (6 tonnes per day) for customers requiring large volume production.
Our parent company, Oregon Freeze Dry are the largest custom freeze drying company in the world, with a significant proportion of the total capacity in the USA. If a product can be freeze dried, the chances are that Oregon Freeze Dry are either freeze drying it now, or know how to freeze dry it.
Our second parent, Agrova Food are part of DLG, the Danish Co-Operative organisation with interests in all aspects of food production from "farm to fork."
